SkyAviators: New Integrated Aviation Weather Service Previewed at the Airline & Aerospace MRO and Flight Operations IT Conference

In October 2025, Weathernews' Aviation Weather Division participated in the Airline & Aerospace MRO & Flight Ops IT Conference – APAC 2025, held in Bangkok, Thailand.

This premier industry event brings together airlines, aircraft manufacturers, and aerospace IT professionals to explore cutting-edge solutions and services. The conference serves as a critical forum for addressing the sector's most pressing challenges—from flight safety and operational efficiency to cost optimization and sustainability—drawing attention from aviation leaders across the globe.

Weathernews engaged with attendees through multiple channels: presenting in the Vendor Showcase, exhibiting at our conference booth, and offering one-on-one consultations where we demonstrated our services and connected directly with industry stakeholders.

Weathernews Unveils New Aviation Solution: SkyAviators

At the conference, Weathernews showcased SkyAviators, a comprehensive new aviation weather service currently in development. SkyAviators supports every phase of flight operations—from pre-departure planning through in-flight decision-making to post-arrival analysis—enabling airlines to make safer operational decisions, optimize routes, plan diversions effectively, and conduct thorough post-flight reviews.

The platform provides access to Weathernews' proprietary high-resolution, high-accuracy weather forecasts covering 15,000 airports worldwide.

Weathernews also demonstrated the Flight Plan Editor1, a powerful tool that assesses weather-related risks along flight routes and helps pilots and dispatchers select the safest flight paths. The Flight Plan Editor visualizes critical risk factors—including turbulence, icing, and thunderstorms—empowering flight operations teams to make informed, safety-focused decisions.

Weathernews also offers specialized data services that allow airlines to integrate our high-resolution, high-accuracy proprietary weather forecasts directly into their internal systems2. Beyond standard meteorological data from national agencies, we provide our own in-depth analyses—including wind, temperature, humidity, and altitude information—enabling airlines to make more informed and optimized operational decisions.

Engaging with 100 Participants from 30 Companies: A Trusted Partner in Shaping Aviation's Future

Over the course of the two-day conference, Weathernews connected with 100 aviation professionals representing 30 companies. By providing hands-on demonstrations of our services to international airlines and IT decision-makers, we opened new doors for collaboration and expanded adoption opportunities within the global aviation industry.

Through live demonstrations, we showcased concrete ways to improve flight safety and operational efficiency. The response was overwhelmingly positive, with many participants expressing concern about increasingly severe weather patterns and their impact on operations. Key feedback included:

“For airports where forecasting is challenging, we'd like to leverage Weathernews' prediction services”

“For airports without official aerodrome forecasts, we need access to higher-accuracy predictions”

These insights from the market will directly shape our future service development. This event marked an important milestone for Weathernews—an opportunity to connect directly with aviation professionals from around the world and take a significant step forward in our global engagement. We will continue participating in international industry events to better understand the challenges and needs facing airlines worldwide, driving continuous improvement in our services and developing new solutions that address the evolving demands of the industry.
